Re: Kitemare / Safety Share

I also had this happen a few years ago in punchy gusty Columbia River Gorge conditions. 8m Naish Park tomahawk kite crash with foil fuselage twisted into the lines very low & close to the CL & Bar. I could not clear it, and it also was trapping any single line flag out since the front lines were als...

Re: Moses 2019

A bit off topic, but I've built and tested 5 different lengths foil boards on the same 633 set-up. The board has a huge impact on the foil feeling. 3-4x more difference than say a change to a LF impulse. The most important factor is the weight of the board forward of the front wing. Yes. Agreed. I'...

Re: My beliefs have changed.

^^^ Yeah, my younger son picked up foiling in about 50 minutes. After two hours he was switching feet on foil in the middle of the choppy Columbia River on a 91 cm mast. I had been working on that for weeks. He told me, "I don't know, just switch your feet..." Day 4 he is sitting on foilboard, smal...

Re: My beliefs have changed.

news flash: some people are better athletes than others. 2014, I'm like one one of the first non-race cruiser foilers here in Puget Sound, Washington State. Now I'm the old-timer who knows everything. Legend in my own mind. But all I can do is toe & heelside jibes, and footswitches. Any attempt at ...

Re: Love Love Love My Peak 4 8m Wondering About 11m - Reviews Anyone?

I'm all Clouds too. This spring I jumped onto the foil game changer/dark side mania with a 12m Flysurfer Soul. I weigh 155lbs, I ride a Moses 633, strapless. I can only say personally that even down into 8mph winds I found plenty of power. I need a bunch more TOW because this is so different than Cl...

Re: sanding sharp edges on Moses mast and wings

But be carefull with your sanding, might end up with your foil whistling quite badly, specially if you just sand perpendicular as stated on the delta videos (did it on my Levitaz Bionic, and regret it). And once you've made this sanding error is there any corrections you can make to re-do this? I s...

Here's what my goal shape was to the trailing edges. The flat portion is about 1/32"

Re: sanding sharp edges on Moses mast and wings

Thanks , also just watched a video from DELTA hydrofoils on the demonstrating method which was very informative. But be carefull with your sanding, might end up with your foil whistling quite badly, specially if you just sand perpendicular as stated on the delta videos (did it on my Levitaz Bionic,...

Re: Moses 790 wing

Agree grigorib, so something does not make sense in the above post answer to PurdyKiter... These big wings float, which for some is great as fast to waterstart when crashed, for others a PITA as the foil sails away on its own, personal preferences only. 8) PF Yep, That was my point. Some days I rea...

Re: Moses 790 wing

Here's another 790 question: With the 633 there is a minor annoyance where it will float on it's side after I crash... and often leave the scene worse that any twin-tip. It's not normally a problem but now that I'm also learning the talents of foil kite flying & crashes..... I'd prefer that the 633...
