Toby, The wind is side-on. So building a bunch of condos won't kill the wind...... it's the require wrist-band you'll need for the all inclusive gringo resort. This is odd when I see Mexico beaches closed and restricted when it's been a federal law for decades that all ocean beached are public.
Help Now!! There is big money moving in to permanently ruin Hot Springs in El Sargento, La Ventana, Baja. I've seen this move repeatedly at too many other Mexico beaches where a deep pocket developer lines a few politicians pockets and brings in the bulldozers. Help! Your signature will take two min...
Hmmm.... At 72 I just recently developed my first ever bunion and I hate it. I kiteboard with foils, I efoil, I directional kite and all of these have more focus on the bunionated front foot. Oh.... but I first noticed the pain when I put on my shoes to head for an airport after another winter in La...
Yep. I'm perfectly set up with an 8m Roam and 5m Roam as my tiny kite and there's nothing missing out. My logic is that when I get blown off the water foiling & 5m, I just keep my directional 5'8" Celero parked and ready.
I also have the 10m Roam for the lighter winds.

after 20 years of kiting,, i have learned to not believe all the hype every year. how many times have i heard the latest 10m kite will let you kite in 3 mph wind
Not to wander off-topic, but depending on where you live the foil kites don't work as well as LEI in my thoughts. Here in Puget Sound, Washington State and the Columbia River Gorge a foil kite only works at less than half the launches due to tight launches, trees, barnacles, shifty gusty conditions....
But for the range 5-8 knots you need a special kite.

Last year I got on the expensive band wagon to explore a life in 5-8 knots. Flysurfer Soul 12m and a huge wing.
Now I've decided to simply keep my favorite IPA handy instead. I think I dropped $2K US for that experiment.
Love my 10m LEI
DIDN'T know there were others,,, it is the dakine.
Another vote for the Dakine Vega. Been in this seat harness now for 3 years. I moved my Ride Engine slider bar over to these and never been happier for foiling. But I don't boost.
My journey on the 679 went: 483.... too sluggish although super stable. Then 425.... to yaw pitchy and squirrely although it was fun with aggressive turns. And finally settled on the 450 for the best of everything.
