Re: Pump vs foilboard

Can you pump a north scoop mini (110cm) with just your legs as power? If so what wing would you need? I use it for kite foiling so only have a 1150 wing at the moment. Board can work a friend of mine used it for a bit. However, it looks like North doesn’t make dedicated pumpfoil wings yet so you wo...

Re: Introducing the Ocean Rodeo Crave A-Series

In comparison the Roam has much better drift, but I do not find it very power. … The Crave has a lot more power and has way more lift for jumping. Have a Roam A 10M and Crave HL 8+6+5 only use both of them for foiling. Agree with the general assessments of ladomi in addition: Basically roam is surf...

Re: Do you need Aluula Kites?

I always fold my kites (loosely) including my Aluula roam which still looks ok for a kite that’s 3+ years old although I am just foiling with it which might also reduce wear.

Would be interesting to hear from the Aluula company or one of the brands what they recommend for packing roll vs fold.

Re: Recommended Line Length for 3m LEI

I think that learning is not exactly easy, but if I chose this size it was precisely so that it would not drag them and they could master the kite in the event of any problem. As we try it with more wind I will publish the impressions, I think the ideal will be about 20 knots. Not sure how heavy yo...

Re: Duotone Evo and Juice

As Far as I know, and I even compared the files, since Last time I have flown the juice was in 2020: they are different. Shape and panel count are similar BUT Juice has higher aspect ratio and It is made with lighter materials. So even they look similar they are not the same kite. Just so you know:...

Re: Pump vs foilboard

I think the main thing is that they do not have inserts for bindings.

Since you cannot really jump with them I would expect them to be sturdy enough to hold up with kiting loads.

Re: Cabrinha Warranty Flaws

Thank you for those trying to help, thank you I appreciate it. @leeuwen say whatever you want, but at some point the seller KOW mentioned Cabrinha would deal with it. Well if this would go to court. The claim would be with the shop/seller not Cabrinha. Them telling you it’s a Cabrinha issue is just...

Re: Cabrinha Warranty Flaws

Just an update on this: last I heard from Cabrinha was through an email dated feb 19. I have been writting to them since December 2023 ! As mentioned before: In the UK and EU warranty is handled by the SELLER not the manufacturer. You should stalk the shop not Cabrinha. If Cabrinha handles it: grea...

Re: Do you need Aluula Kites?

After 1 year of use I already have strong signs of wear on the front tube. … … I'm from germany so no strong uv impact. I had roughly 50 sessions last year. Technically speaking EU law says that the shop selling you is responsible not the manufacturer. So if you think there is an issue what Duotone...

Re: Another quality and safety issue: Ride Engine

Edit: read your message again. It seems like you put more force on the attachment point than it was made for (if it should be made to withstand more is a valid question). Eg when basically riding unhooked with a short leash you potentially put way more power on the flagging line than what’s normal w...
