Farther south = lighter wind, annoying lifeguards, beach restrictions.

Short answer: Waddell and Pismo

Progreso = me gusto!

Great wind, friendly town, fresh seafood, mucho cervesas on the beach.

Warmest water I've ever ridden in.

Anyone kiting Isla Mujeres?

I've had great luck kiting SE winds at Punta Sam, looking across the channel to Isla Mujeres, so I know it gets wind. (By the way, Punta Sam is an awesome "secret spot")
