Re: heli loop not providing lift

Forward Heliloop: Your kite is BEHIND the zenith, and the kite would stall since you under jump it and the kite would be flying behind you. To get the kite back above you you pull hard on the FRONT hand so the kite loops above you and comes back over you. Backward Heliloop: The kite is flying FORWA...

Re: North Rhino w/bar how old?

I you would have considered to fly it, main issue would have been the valves. Like mentioned above, the glue had a limited lifespan, and all of a sudden, all valves started to be ripped of. Not nice when ready to hit the water during a hot summer day... And even worst when you have already hit the ...

Re: North Rhino w/bar how old?

Thanks. Was thinking of pumping it up this winter and try it snowkiting. Or is it a sketchy flying kite This kite is wonderful... For a 2004 kite. It means a pure C high aspect kite with very limited depower. I wouldn't think of using it on snow. Any other kite might be better, even a modern C. One...

Re: Leaking problem with Naish Torch 2011

so many naish kites going to landfill that ride fine still - such a waste and engineering f##@ up That´s unfortunatelly why I quit riding Naish in 2012 after 10 years.... had to swim back my Torches and Ravens to the shore many times after a a leakage deflated the whole kite, and every time I fixed...

Re: Opinions / reviews burton step on bindings and boots

I think it's interesting to give an input here. I do have the Burton step on boots, and to be honest my first try on them was for snow kiting, more precisely on Ragnarok last year. My back ground is water kiting, and though I haven't snowkited a lot, I could try different types of bindings. First on...

Re: Practise landing loops

Doing lots of them currently but not a master yet so take with a grain of salt. In my experience when jumping riding to the left and pulling the back hand for the loop: I will rotate my full body to the right during the loop. My board will point pretty much straight downwind by the time I will land...

Re: We filmed a kite beach for 8 hours ... crashes

unbelievable what mistakes are being made...90% of kiters have no clue about safety. A must for everyone to be safer is the safety video I made: https://strictlyhooked.com/viewtopic.php?f=107&t=2464 Toby, that's a really nice instructional video you've produced, kudos. However, I would add just a c...

Re: Duotone Click vs Trust bar...

I'll probably get fired for this, but when it comes to freeride/freestyle on a twintip, I think the click bar not only is not necessary, but in some ways might prevent the rider to develop some skills that might help you to evolve as a kiter (I don't know nothing about waves or foiling, so can't spe...

Re: Honest advice lol

Vegas actually C kites don't jump as well as modern "open-C"s or modern bow-is kites. I'd recommend a Dice over a vegas. Ridden both I can definitely jump higher on the 2020 Dice. I would assume oksman was aware of this before posting his suggestion. The difference in jump height is less significan...
