Re: Do you need Aluula Kites?

I fly an 2022 ocean rode roam, so not an early adopter. I'm wondering whether I received a bad bath, since many brands jumped on the aluula wagon and the complaints are not that common. Resale value for my kites is a joke, another point to consider before going the aluula way. Tried to sell them for...

How many hours did you kite on it? Strong uv location?
I'm from germany so no strong uv impact.
I had roughly 50 sessions last year. My main spot is by the lake and has no good wind yield so my frequency of use is low compared to someone from the sea.

Re: Do you need Aluula Kites?

My experience is ambivalent, flight characteristics are excellent but the durability is very poor. After 1 year of use I already have strong signs of wear on the front tube. The golden material is disintegrating and I have small cracks almost all over the front tube. I have already taped over one pa...

Re: Durability

I own an OR Roam Aluula, and after one year of use, I have observed recurring material issues. When I closely examined the leading edge (LE) of the kite, I noticed numerous small scratches and wrinkles covering the entire LE. Currently, I am in discussions with my dealer to address this under warran...

Re: Slingshot UFO V3

the absolute zero flutter of the canopy during flight and even fully depowered I have flown both iterations of the UFO in various sizes, and I've noticed that they tend to flutter significantly when depowered. For this type of kite, fluttering when depowered is unavoidable, regardless of the manufa...

Re: Rear foot strap for kitefoiling

Hi melias I just received the north free-lo straps as you suggested. They are perfect, wide enough to move around, can stand on them if not needed and quite comfortable.

Re: Rear foot strap for kitefoiling

have you tried the North Free-lo straps? https://northkb.com/products/free-lo-strap I just whatched the promo video of this product. Too tight and the dude said not suited for longer rides as they become uncomfortable. Thats a big no, when even the producer admits they are uncomfortable :nono: But ...

Yes exactly, I want to be able to make small adjustments while foot is in the strap.

Thanks, that looks very promising :thumb:

Re: Rear foot strap for kitefoiling

I don't like it as well and prefer to ride strapless, but for boosting no way around.
