Re: line knife or hook knife, slightly bigger one recommendations

Think someone above writes it correct. You hopefully never need it.... but you also dont want to be in the situation where you or someone else is in big trouble and you dont have anything to cut the lines and just are helpless. Re: line knife or hook knife, slightly bigger one recommendations

They took off the square edges but beside this I think all is the same. Ceramic version is almost double the price so curious how many will order the steel and how many the ceramic version. I'll have them on stock in about a month. I mainly hope they will also work on PU depowercords (as your meaure...

Re: line knife or hook knife, slightly bigger one recommendations

Just ordered a full batch of the new shape (picture above is older shape). Next to the standard steel (316) blades I also ordered a batch with ceramic blade. The ceramic blade wont rust over time but comes 2 times as expensive as the SS316 steel ones so lets see how many choose quality over quantity...

Re: line knife or hook knife, slightly bigger one recommendations

I don't think A knife is going to save you in a lofting type situation. It's more line tangles or getting wrapped where you will wish you had a good knife. You also can run into unexpected lines in the water. Better to have and never use than not have in an emergency.. +1 If the kite is dragging yo...

Re: line knife or hook knife, slightly bigger one recommendations

Will 8-9mm PU covered depowerlines also fit in the "hole"?
10mm bungee can enter as it can be pressed but for PU the enterance should be large enough.

Re: top brand .. what does it mean? (about Duotone)

What you show is nothing to worry about and has nothing to do with bad quality. You will find this on any canopy and dacron depending a bit also on the color how well you can see it. Njoy your new gear :thumb:

Can these glue foiled "welded" joints be peeled back by softening in ~ boiling water in the traditional way??
Yes but how easy they come off depends on the used glue foil and also how well the process worked.
