Re: Why sheeting in reduce power?

If you sheet in too much you can be stalling the kite so that the wind is not flowing cleanly over it. The wind over the top of it might be separating and not flowing as efficiently if sheeted in too much. It all depends on your kite and how you have it trimmed. You are more likely to be over-sheet...

Re: Where Should I Move To Retire & Kite?

Water is colder there, right? I mean during winter Absolutely, its not called cabo frio for nothing. But you have the baby lagoon and araruama which are shallow so stay a lot warmer than the beach. I'm from South Florida so all water below 80 degrees is cold to me. For the lagoon I just wear a thin...

Re: Introducing HiLo - A high quality pump, packed with the latest technology

actually, my main problem is not the pump itself but the mess brands make with valves and adapters. I have Duotone, F-One and Ozone kites and all of them use different valve adapters :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: Duotone pumps do not have F-One adapter (at least the kite comes with one until y...

I have a Falcon 11m kauper. I have the best fun and high jumps in the wind of 13-18kts. :naughty:
What pressure do you put on the Falcon? 10 psi?

Re: Recoating kite fabric

Has anyone considered emulsion for serigraph screen to recoat kite ripstop?

Some of these emulsions are water soluble but, after UV exposion, they turn completely impermeable and not soluble anymore. I don't know about air porosity but, maybe, it worth a try...

Re: Lightest and best 3 strut kite for foiling?

I've tried a Soul 2 10m, not good for foiling above 15 knots, too much pull for my liking I understand you very well... I'm not jumping on foil yet and my loyal kite to progress has been an Alpha v1 8m. I use this kite all the time and it helped me a lot in the learning process. It gave me confiden...

Re: Lightest and best 3 strut kite for foiling?

What does the Ocean rodeo aluula Roam jump like? I am no expert on jumping with the roam since I ride strapless. However, it’s got a low aspect ratio so it won’t give you lots of hangtime like an XR/Rebel/Edge. The problem is that you want a lot of drift for foiling and drift and hangtime are oppos...

Re: Lightest and best 3 strut kite for freestyle foiling?

Kauper Maverick is just 2460g on 10m size using standard materials, however, with the very thin leading edge, I'm assuming it must be pumped to higher pressure than other kites

Re: looking for bar options

What you need to do is change all the pigtails on your kites so they use one system. Usually there's a pigtail on the bridle at the kite end where you can swap rear and center pigtails. The high y thing I would not do. All manufacturers are moving away from high y so if a kite is not low v compatib...

looking for bar options

I'd like to keep just one bar for all kites on my quiver and these kites are not from the same brand. Thus, I'm looking for a bar that could be easily adjusted without having to get pigtails, extensions, adapters, etc... separately. The only bar that I know with these options is clickbar. To be more...
