Re: Foil quick mount

(...) But apart from that, always carry a full set of tools and lines and bridle lines and tape and fibreglass and epoxy and contact cement and extra screws, bladder repair kit etc, so no matter what happens and if you are far away - you can almost always fix it. (...) At least 70% of all my equipm...

Re: Foil quick mount

@rnelias, what you've linked is a T-nut that can do both M6 and M8, which is very weird. I think you're more thinking at the "locking" T-nuts, typically using a grub-screw to hold their position in the tracks. But I don't like those, because they require completely undoing 4 bolts. With standard sl...

Re: Foil quick mount

(...) I have never seen anyone being able to assemble a board to baseplate in 1 minute or less in a track with loose T nuts. Sometimes it takes quite some time to get the T nuts placed correctly , and if one slides a bit it is a PITA and they might have to remove again to get it right. (...) 8) Pet...

Re: Foil quick mount

I have the same system here but, to be honest, I've never mounted it on any board. It's brand new in the box. I've tried to resell it here but nobody got interested. IMG-20240418-WA0285.jpg Assembly/disassembly the foil is not a huge effort. Takes less than 2 minutes... I've now got some quick tight...

Re: Anyone using wingcams?

... Not very light, so curious about the Flymount. ... Flymount is 170 grams The problem with these mounts is the FoV. It works fine for 360 cameras but, to use with action cams, you'll need a wider lens like the max lens mod for GoPro. In my case, the best combination was to use the hero 11 mini (...

Re: Slingshot UFO V3

Insane what wind range some people are liking... I use my V2 Ufos as follows (75 kg, f-one SK8 750): 7 m² 11-15 kts 5 m² 13-18 kts 4 m² 16-20 kts 3 m² 20-27 kts (then the waves get too big for my foil skills and I get out the good old surfboard with my 5 m² 3-strut wavekite) The 4 m² Ufo I like the...

Re: Why is wingfoiling so popular?

Even mowing the lawn can be made fun. Wingfoiling is a great tool to explore your spot. Sure kitefoiling typically goes upwind faster and steeper, covers more ground, but then you can't have a wee rest in a sheltered bay, you can't get too close from things, can't stop and take pictures of your mat...

Re: Drone recommendations

... Just saw this - Yes, just not with a kiter. It tracked my wife kayaking out to the reef fine, and my kids ice skating on the lake this winter. I'm a little bummed to hear it doesn't do well with kiters... I would have only used that if you were filming one kiter. The avoidance sensors work for ...
