Re: Kite specific alaias

Kite specific versus surf specific, the only difference imo is the kite alaia should be glassed. I've made three unglassed alaias out of redwood which were super fun, but fragile for kite use. The next unglassed one I made out of baltic birch plywood which has held up beautifully to the abuse of ki...

Here is one I made some years ago, real fun to ride, the size is about 170x50 cm. Lightwind capabilities and upwind is amazing. In bigger waves takes some care not to pearl the nose.

Very beautiful, how thick is yours? What wood is made of? What is its weight? Thanks

Kite specific alaias

Has anyone first hand experience with kite specific alaias or kilaias? After that video http://diykilaia.com/en/tutorials/full-length-film/ I'm considering to make one. Is it worth the effort? I am newbie and would love to kite more often , in days with lower wind . foiling except being very difficu...

Re: light wind surfboard VS foil board

so far everything has been said...but I think one thing is still missing from the equation: alaias. A proper (finless) alaia is heaps of fun in light wind, especially in flat water. Regards, or6 Any more experience with alaias or kilaias? After that video http://diykilaia.com/en/tutorials/full-leng...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

If a single skin kite had higher aspect ratio than peak 4, will it be better in low winds? You can look into a range of nice, narrow single skins from Bornkite in germany, Bornkite Racestar+. Sizes; 3 - 5 - 7 - 9 - 11 - 14. 539 to 1169 Euros race_star_9.jpg http://www.born-kite.de/?cat=c102_Race-St...

Omg,
You've surely seen my posts. Gong M Pro is closest comparable to moses 633. I've ridden both back to back. The L is a step bigger.
Isn't the projected area of L pro, closer to projected area of 633?

By seeing someone only projected area, shouldn't compare , M pro->683 and L pro->633?

Have you ever seen a bad review of a Peak4? I haven't yet.
I don't know french, but by using Google translator, I thing the first post there http://www.lesfoilz.com/phpBB3/viewtopi ... lit=Peak+4 , it isn't a positive review.....or am I wrong?
