Re: Minimum buy-in: $2500

It's not only about the price and level of the car I think. Some cars are just plain bad design. One of the worst cars to fit in my gear I've had is a Nissan Quashqai (no idea if that spelling is right). Would barely fit my gear bag with 1 twintip, only with part of the back seat down, which was ver...

Re: Kiting with a torn muscle?

Or coughing, or laughing. Chest injuries are really tough when you have funny friends!

Re: Storm kitesurfing in Fehmarn

Really cool, well-shot video. Wish they would have skipped the one and a half minute lame intro in the car.

Am I just really boring when I say it's irresponsible to jump a pier like that? These guys seem quite skilled, but it would just take 1 line breaking to end them up in the hospital.

Re: Kiting with a torn muscle?

OP can judge it best himself ofcourse, although if there is any pain I would really rest. The problem with taking it easy is that you go out, it's a lot of fun, you don't feel the muscle, because you're distracted. And since you don't feel it, you might as well do a small jump or backroll or whateve...

Re: Kiting with a torn muscle?

You should really give it some rest. I bruised a rib once, doctor said I had to rest 4-6 weeks. Being impatient, after 1 week it felt ok-ish, so I went kiting for an hour, completely messed it up and then I had to take two months rest for it to heal. Even with a seat harness you'll put strain on it.

Re: Best low V split bar

The Reedin bar sounds almost perfect, but I've heard it has a relatively long throw, and they don't seem to offer a small loop. Would be nice if ads would feature these specs instead of all the bullshit that is in there now. My Naish Torque bar has a small loop and a comfortable throw, but the QR is...

Re: the big dilemma: Pump vs Foil?

... Just to clarify, my feedback was also about the V2. I definitely get why some people would enjoy the kite a lot! To add to this description, I thought that it drifted great, as long as you keep it moving. If you park it, you can't ride your board anywhere you want, which in my opinion will not ...

Re: Surfboard with foil kite?

To each their own, but ripping any substantial waves will make you fall at some point and dropping your kite in the break while getting tossed around is already not a lot of fun with an inflatable. With a ram air, that would be no flotation, it will actually pull you down as it starts filling. And t...

Re: Kook proof lines

Sadly, I think this is an example of brands not wanting to conform, exactly to lock users in to the brand. So it would surprise me if they started offering the bars with universal ends. Funnily enough, my Naish bar has knots that are universal, but then the loops are not... Only reason to justify wo...

Their prices are a bargain compared to big brands' mass production boards.
1150 EUR for a 130cm kite foil board a bargain  ? That's only slightly less than the big companies, and for kite foiling it is currently super easy to find boards on sale for much less...
