Re: DIY long pigtail

I recently moved some slingshot lines onto a standard bar, and had to make some leader extensions also. I spliced brummel (it is easy and fun to learn) on bar end , and hook rear lines up with larks head on a knot. I really like this for adjustment and line set switching , or for bar maintenance etc...

around 320 he mentions what you said, which made me conscience of it .

You can always pickup a clamcleat and change to above bar depower , which i like more anyway

Re: Kite quiver for TT and Foil suggestions

I wouldn't want any single strut , no strut , or peak at a storm kite. I would add a 6m pivot or equivalent .

Re: Kite quiver for TT and Foil suggestions

Your original quiver actually sounds awesome. I find 10m flite, 5m peak, 8m pivot as a good compromise quiver. With 20 and 27m lines . Range is low to 30 with foil/surfboard switcheroo.

Few different kites could do the 10 ,8 job. Only one for the 5.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

@junebug, my first peak4 experience was also really similar. when i bought it the ends of the bridals were tied in a loose knot, which makes setting it up really easy. another foil kite i bought was also sent like this, so i guess is common knowledge amongst foil boys. i would recommend practicing r...

Re: Dice v Pivot (8-10m-ish)

i have ridden both in 10m. i liked both. i like pivot better. its a easier to jump. feels like it has more camber. both have nice feel, quick, light bar pressure, all-around. actually makes sense to me to compare them. im can barely loop in a jump, but the pivot pulls pretty good i thought.

Re: Which is your favorite kite right now?

i would have to name 2 - pivot 8m for surf/boost - peak4 5m for hydrofoil. i have kept peak4 in the closet over the cold months because i didnt want to swim in the cold. but now that its warm, i really get stoked to ride it. totally different feeling. ( i also got an old 2011 kahoona 5.5m for like 1...
