Re: Slingshot UFO

I think that it's a good thing that they don't propose any kite larger than 9m. Meaning that it is not targeted to use with a wind lighter than 8-10 knots (they say 6 knots on their website but its optimistic in my view). The main problem with struless kite is the relaunch, especially with large siz...

Re: Difficulty landing with the Duotone rebel.

The difficulty also comes from the kite design/shape. Comparing it with an EVO, the Rebel is more Delta Shape with a flatter arc. This means that the kite will give you more hangtime and a great ability to go upwind and jump. But, the kite will be slower to react and anticipation is needed. It will ...

Re: slingshot compstick sentinel vs guardian control bars

Does someone knows if it is possible to use the bungee line of the Guardian Bar on the Sentinel Bar ? Is it the same length ? I own both bars but the bungee (connected to the safety line) of my sentinel bar is damaged. I have a spare bungee that come with my Guardian bar. Can I use it on the Sentine...

Re: What do you think about a plywood surfboard?

You'll think I'm obsessed with the "Tiki" (or Alaia) concept. But it works great : good upwind and very fun to ride in light wind.
And it's also a beautiful object !

Re: Is the Duotone Thrust bar compatible with Slingshot Rev?

I'd say no. Duotone uses a bar with high Y (the center lines separate 6m form the bar) and Slingshot bar uses a low V (center lines separate approximately 1m after the bar). You could fly the kite because both bars (even the 2009 Slingshot bar) have equal length for the 4 lines butt it will not be o...

Re: Eleveight vs Naish Leading Edge pressure

The other important thing is that the pressure indicated by the pump is not accurate at all. They use cheap manometer. Besides, a few years back, there was not any pressure gauge on the pump and we were riding fine. I pump the kite until it's stiff and it's becomes hard to pump. It usually takes me ...

Re: Douton whip pro vs whip, is there a difference?

I have a Duotone Pro Whip. It is a very easy board and very light. Happy with its behaviour on the water. But you have to be very cautious as any impact on the board will leave a trace or even a small hole. Another thing I don't like is the specific fixation for the fins. It is said to be a future b...

Re: Best jump machine (board) for big air?

Duotone - Jaime == ridden by most of the Duotone riders in KOTA (others used the TS) (Lasse was on a 139x42 and I think Reno was on a 136) North - Atmos == ridden by Marc and Nick (138x41 for both Marc and Nick) Cabrinha - Ace == ridden by Nick when he was at Cabrinha Naish - Monarch == ridden by R...
