Re: One of the many questions on used gear - 2020 Orbit

I would go for 2021 or newer model as the bridlen change did a lot. Maybe you can buy 2021 bridle and put it on the 2020 if you're on a budget Ah! Good to know, time to do some research on possibly bridle changes. Never knew it was even possible, thanks! The 2020 orbit was a bit unstable and not gr...

Re: Reedin Supermodel 3 - help

The lateral pull you describe is one of the reasons I swapped from pivots to orbits

Re: Tech Cast #12 | Feat. The Line Smith | Episode # 341

It was mentioned in the podcast you can swap around the 12 / 10m sections of the north bar to get more life. Brilliant idea mine are 2 years old was thinking of doing this, and my largest kite is 10m ozone Reo so I assume it's safe to move the 10m section to the bottom? In my exp the friction is on...

Re: North quiver advice

Thanks, would you say it can handle days with 17-20 knots too? That's the wind window that worries me, almost like the 12m Reach would be a bit overpowered and the 9m Orbit underpowered. Imo you are right, 17-20 knots is not great for either, however perfect on the 11. But no doubt you can handle t...

Re: Recommandations for a new twintip

I have tried bort atmos and drive. Drive has a bit more rocker, softer landings and insane grip. Atmos sits a bit more on top of the water, more square outline and accelerates faster. I went for the laluz without carbon, just as light as the drive (bort lighter than atmos). A bit skatier but way mor...

Re: North quiver advice

For your weight (70 kg) and your expected average wind range 18-25 knots, the Orbit 9m should perfectly complete your 12m Reach :) Thanks, would you say it can handle days with 17-20 knots too? That's the wind window that worries me, almost like the 12m Reach would be a bit overpowered and the 9m O...

Re: Recommandations for a new twintip

Carbon board is not necessarily lighter f.ex. the atmos carbon is heavier than my xenon la Luz

Re: Xenon Laluz VS Xenon Rayo

I think the company disappeared but came back. I have laluz from around 2020 I think. Board is great, very light. Quite rectangular, skatey when you want it but grippy enough when you put down the rail. Pops fine, soft, quite fast. Very happy with them, go for laluz. I think rayo is like their begin...

Re: new Nort Navigator Bar?

We often rig up on a wet sandy beach. I take care that I give the lower part of the bar a rinse, once I am on the water. We ride a lot in the shallows where there is always sand mixed in the water. One of my kite buddies had the Slingshot Sentry V1 having a lot of wear in the described area. He now...
