Re: Jamie Overbeek jumps 31.4 meters (103 feet)

Unless he is jumping next to a massive tape measure I am not sure how video is going to help anyone determine precisely how high he jumped down to two decimal places?

Re: I bought a speedboard!

Trace was a stand alone GPS with a 5hz rate. So not cutting edge by todays standards, but for 2017 is was as good as you could get for watersports. The GPS watch you’re touting uses the same sample rate. Never said I wasn’t bearing off to maximize speed, that was someone else. This is what I don’t ...

Re: Custom Sail material

So why can I walk into any sail loft (that uses Tejin) in the U.K. and spec that fabric for a spinnaker on my boat? The quantities used by kite brands vs sailing industry are minute We looked into developing an aramid strand LE material with a kite brand years back and the quantities and return were...

Re: Custom Sail material

Kite companies don’t use enough fabric to have it built exclusively for them, it will be available from any sail maker (yacht sails) that use/supplied by tejin.

They may have an agreement no to supply it to another kite brand but that’s it.

Re: I bought a speedboard!

The only thing confirming you didn’t bear away to accelerate is your gps track. As good as you can get for Watersports? yet strangely lacking from the list of sanctioned devices for actual record setting or international competition. The actions of the “smartest” in the room? That will be your I don...

Re: Custom Sail material

I wonder if I could just order the sail material and have a shop replace out the canopy fabric. Its interesting the marketing for cf reads stronger lighter more durable. Reminds me of the Duotone SLS moniker. So CF was bought out by North Sails altho they are selling it to anyone via a specialized ...

Re: I bought a speedboard!

I dont need a speed board :mosh: 00761EEB-8544-4F8E-9036-6E83F45738BD.png Very interesting I see no downwind line at all, meaning you achieved that speed while standard sailing? Does your app show also best speed at 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds? Artifacts are disappointing  That day was 3...
