I've been using a Jay (Dynabar) for many years with both the hook and rope attached, I only have the hook for when I'm teaching as it's a lot easier to take the chicken loop ...

Re: The Hydrofoil Air Jibe w/Foot Stance Change & Downloop

... Since the end of (northern) summer, I've started taking a seat harness and a hybrid harness to the beach. Greatly prefer the "waist" harness (with Dynabar) for foiling with big wing and small kite. Especially starting strapless! ... still can't fathom why anyone would waste the fun of a gybe by ...

Re: Why do schools keep using the seat harness in lessons but most people use waist?

... straps is noticeably easier, but you get a little more ride up and a little more wedgie than the other two types. I use mine for foiling with a Dynabar, and it's perfect. Re: Why isn't sliding rope bar more prevalent?

My first session on a Dynabar was on a directional and instantly I knew it was better. I could swap feet effortlessly, too. When I eventually got in the TT with the Dynabar, I had a few minutes of weirdness with the sliding from side ...

Re: Why isn't sliding rope bar more prevalent?

... However, I can see that a lot of people like the rope slider and that's okay too. Different strokes for different folks. Re: Why isn't sliding rope bar more prevalent?

Interesting thread. My first use of dynabar slider was a WOW moment ... the freeing up of hips for toeside riding felt amazing, I was sold immediately. Now with more foiling, even more sold on sliders. With more acute upwind angles, especially ...
