Re: mystic stealth bar

... I had with OEM gear. The dyneema as supplied could pull down to a flat band that was pretty thin. Otherwise solid kit. I am not using any OEM (Dynabar/Jaystor) gear.

Re: mystic stealth bar

... the QR. - 6mm is a little too thick for the QRs I use. I use 6mm shackles because the wheels (just under 6mm ID) fit perfectly. I first used a Dynabar wheel which perfectly fits a 6mm shackle. - The ring is welded at 90 degrees to the shackle which makes the ring horizontal so that the QR I ...

Re: mystic stealth bar

... It is a 6mm stainless steel shackle onto which is welded a 25mm x 5mm stainless steel round ring. The wheel is the same as the original Jaystore Dynabar pulley wheel. Any size ring could be welded onto the shackle but I find 25mm (1") works fine. Virtually no rope wear of course. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ua48gqjthjpnwa/20190909_094301.jpg?dl=0

Re: mystic stealth bar

... that the tension in the runner will be T/2 X 1/sine ∆ where ∆ is the angle subtended by the runner and the line of the 2 attachment points. For my Dynabar which is ~ 230mm long with a line reaching ~30mm from the line of the attachment 1/sine∆ is ~4. Therefore when my 200lbs is hanging on the harness ...

Re: Ring for RideEngine rope spreader bar

my issue is I use a tethered self launch, so attaching chicken loop to the rope or to a ring doesn't work well. I used the sliding mechanism from dynabar, which works great, but eventually it broke. Now I use a locking carabiner -- which also works fine, just have to make sure it has rounded smooth ...

Re: mystic stealth bar

... as it is part of the spreader bar, so if you think you may want both options buy the fixed hook. I used to use both a hook and sliding rope on my Dynabar and it worked fine, just make sure the rope is above the fixed hook so it doesn't get caught up. Has anyone really tried to add the "Stealth ...

Re: Sliding spreader bar dimensions

... So answer is everybody want A as tight as possible and B is very personal I don't want A as short as possible :D I tried a low-friction ring on my Dynabar and hated the contortions necessary to sheet right in. Went back to using the sliding hook and am happier. Also got tired of figuring to adjust ...

Re: Sliding spreader bar dimensions

A = 22mm, B = 230mm a version of the Dynabar. A measured to centre line of rope. I minimised A by inserting a separate 3mm core after the main line was installed. I took the core out to a separate tie down point. I also use a pulley hook as ...
