Protective tubing for chicken loop line

Does anybody know which tubing to use to for the chicken loop line. On my 2003 wipika and cabrinha bar the chicken loop was spectra line that was inside plastic tubing. This prevented wear and tear on the strong but delicate spectra line. Has anybody tried using tubing to protect the spectra line of...

We frequently have light wind days around here. For light winds, I mean around 8 k. I have had several big lei kites: 23M wipika free air, 23M wipika airblast, 21M wipika hydro+, 19.5M cabrinha contra. With all of those kites, the best bottom end I could ride was 8k, and it was a downwinder, not muc...

Now you know why windwing is going out of business.
The WW rapture riders around here are now finding their stoke on RRD (Caution & North are great too) because the Rapture 2's are crap. Sell yours while you still can.

mmmmmm big kites

I did most of my learning on a 2001 16.4M projected (23M flat) wipika free air. That kite was a dog, slow turning. In 2003, I was stoked on a 15.3 projected (20.8M flat) wipika hydro +. This kite had a thinner profile and fiberglass rods at the tips, which made for a faster, and quicker turning kite...

pee yourself

If you ever get stung by a jellyfish, urinate on the infected area, it will neutralize the toxins. Ask your friends to urinate on the infected area too.
no joke.

I used regular spray paint (ivory-left over from our wedding) on the bottom of my black carbon fiber board. The board is much easier to find. I think next time I'll use a brighter color like yellow, which should be easier to spot in the surf. The paint has stayed on the board quite well..

Use a clothes iron at a low setting and make a new seam. Start off with a low temp and gradually go higher until you get a nice fusion. Put paper or waxed paper on top of the urethane to keep it from sticking to the iron. Test the seal with soapy water or submerge the bladder in a trash can. I like ...

I started off with adobe premiere too, but didn't like it so much.
I like Vegas Video (Once owned by Sonic Foundry, now owned by Sony) the best for windows ($ final cut pro best for windows).

It seems like a lot of problems happen near shore. I think if people start feeling overpowered, best to crash the kite at the edge of the window (at least 2 kite lengths from shore). Then after crashing the kite, unhook from the chicken loop (or pull the safety) to release the bar and hopefully depo...
