Re: Need board recommendation for chop and waves, medium wind...

I agree with the Mako 140, I just got mine a couple of months ago and it takes a bit of time to adjust to a different riding style but once you get used to it is magic, especially in chop and in waves. I agree with the others...the Mako 140 is great in heavy chop and doubles as a great wave twin tip.

Re: 2010 Ocean Rodeo Mako line up

In "mutant mode", is the King going to be better in waves than the 150 wide? I'm a bit concerned about the flotation of the 130. Is it designed for very light riders? thanks, Diogo I still ride the Mako 134x35 quite often and find that it does me fine in pretty much all conditions. Once you get pla...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Mako Warranty

Thank you for the quick response, I'm sorry i had to put the post up but It was the quickest way to get a reply. How about everyone just contact the manufacturer directly BEFORE posting on a forum? A quick phone call or email should do. I have had to deal with a few kite companies this way and it m...

Re: Mako 2009 140 or 150?

I haven't tried the 09 boards yet...so not really sure. As buzz said, I would probably guess the 140 based on your weight. If you don't get a sufficient answer here then try the ocean rodeo forum.

Good luck!

Re: OR Mako wide riders: best technique for upwind preformance?

Sounds like you are on the right track. I find that because the board is so efficient...it helps to get the board going at a good speed and then really point the center upwind. Pay attention to the board and your upwinding...and forget your normal twintip tendencies...the board will reward you.
