Yeah...seach the forum as this has been covered somewhat. Winter is not the best time for kiting...summer is much better as we get fairly consistent thermals. Nobody really kites on the windward side due to very difficult launches/sketchy wind/no wind where there is good places to launch. Trust me.....

Just checked the wind at Kite Beach last week...it wasn't that bad! Trust me...there are places not very far away with less wind. At least no wind makes for good surf.

I am heading to Connecticut (New Haven) in late October. Is it worth bringing my kite gear? Any suggestions on where to go? I am coming from Hawaii...will I freeze my everything off? Thanks for the help.

Try Diani Beach in Kenya or Zanzibar. Definitely go on safari if you go to Kenya or Tanzania. Amazing...

Hmmm...I had a great experience buying from these guys. Talked to them on the phone and guy was helpful with their equipment and even mentioned some of the local spots. Prices were decent and shipped stuff out fast.

What size of LE bladder did you get? $55 seems cheap.
