Re: Bandit Dos 12/10/8 or 14/10//7

We do have quite a few days in the high 30knot range. I guess the low end is not as important, I don't think I could get out in anything less than 14 knots due to my weight (I'm not a fan of just cruising forward and back without tricking).

Bandit Dos 12/10/8 or 14/10//7

I'm after a little advice from the Bandit Dos users on the forum. I currently have a quiver fo 12/10/8 Bandit Dos but I'm considering changing to a 14/10/7 quiver. I'm around the 100kgs mark using a 135*38 TT, 5'10'' surfboard and a nobile skim. Do you think this would be a good idea. I've found all...

Re: Travel bag suggestions?

i would get a surfboard style coffin bag, that's made to hold 3 or more surfboards. Then you should be good with you surfboard and t/tip and your kites. bubble the surfboard and take all your fins off both boards and good to go. might get a deal on one on ebay or something similar Thanks, I'll star...

Travel bag suggestions?

I'm after any suggestions for a travel bag to take all my kit on holiday with me. I know the usual ones but none of them are long enough to accomodate my surfboard at 5'10" (~175cms). F-One do on but it's out of stock everywhere. Can anyone think of another option?

Re: First impressions on Bandit Dos 10m

I think you will be OK with the 15/10 but I wonder about getting a 7m rather than an 8m. I weigh around 100kgs so the 8m suits me but I would say for anyone weighing less I would get a 7m.

Re: First impressions on Bandit Dos 10m

The sweetspot of the 10m is around 20knots for me so I would go from the 12m to 10m at around 17-18 knots.

Re: First impressions on Bandit Dos 10m

There is a pully where the front lines connect to the bridle (acrried over from the 08 kite) and a new second pully on each bridle that forms a small V toward the centre of the leading edge.

Re: First impressions on Bandit Dos 10m

There is a big difference between the 10m and 12m Dos. The 10m will be my main kite and the 12m replaces the 16m I have had before. Think of it as the 12m being the first of the big sizes, the 10m and 9m are the every day kites and 8m and smaller are the high wind kites. I was riding my 12m with ski...

Re: First impressions on Bandit Dos 10m

We mostly get get cross on or onshore wind here so to kite the waves I need a kite that is happy with you riding towards it which is the Dos. Obviously you can't ride toward it all the time but it's stable enough to handle riding down the waveface downwind.
