Re: Duotone Trust bar adjusment

All 4 lines need to be Equal Length to perform. Back lines can shrink or in some cases the front lines stretch, so the adjustment allows for rebalancing of the lines. :thumb:

Re: Seat Harness Manufacturers

Ion's 2021 Radar is now spec'ed with a plate made from their CURV material (semi-hardshell). Definitely could be worth a look. And yes, their hook issues seem to be fully resolve now. They even have an Aluminum Hook 2.0, so I'd think they've fixed any issues with hook integrity. https://www.ion-prod...

Re: Seat Harness Manufacturers

Have Dakine stopped making them then? I know they've shut the HR facility, but it would be a tragedy if they've ceased production of Seat Harnesses and my favorite the Nitrous Shorts. Yes. Dakine is no longer producing Windsports equipment and that devision of their company is up for sale. Any inve...

Re: Bars with 65cm/26" or more of throw?

Four bars come to mind that could potentially meet your needs without doing a DIY set-up, but I'm not sure on the actual throw lengths. Airush Ultra bar is marketed as a minimalist bar with Extended Throw. https://airush.com/product/control-bars/ultra-bar-v2/ The other bars that could potentially wo...

Re: Which surf board?

I'd recommend looking at the Compact shape surfboard offerings that are designed for small-medium waves. Boards shaped like this will plane better in lighter winds and perform better in weaker waves and chop. Almost every major kiteboard brand has one in their offering. There are also non kite brand...

Re: white shark

Does that stat based on the general population or only people who enter the ocean????? Ocean goers only. The stats change when you start adding in the survival factor of the shark attack or auto accident (severity) and the millage and frequency associated with the drive to the beach and the stats o...

Re: white shark

I don't worry about it. You're more likely to be killed in an auto accident on the way to the beach than be attacked by a shark, especially while kiting.

I'll leave it at this... 1 in 100+ people die in auto accidents compared to about 1 in 3+ million for a shark attacks. :thumb:

Re: Recommend me a surfboard - light wind / small waves / 210lbs rider

Good choice on the Evo 5'3. :thumb: You'll want a stiffer flex fin or a bigger fin to accommodate your weight. If you can, try to experiment. Maybe a Futures F6 Legacy or F8 or the JJ Techflex. Myself and others I know have also had pretty good performance with the Futures Thermotech fins. https://f...

Re: Where can I find valve spareparts for old F-One Bandit?

Not knowing where you're located, look for replacement aftermarket valves. In the US FixMyKite has those exact replacement valves for the LE and struts. https://fixmykite.com/proddetail.asp?prod=fmk_f_one_90degree_valve https://fixmykite.com/proddetail.asp?prod=fmk_f_one_straight_valve Airtime has t...
