Re: Foam grab rails for board offs

What about using those plastic skateboard grab rails? Just cut to length, glue/tape them down, and go. They have a nice thumb/finger grove on one side for a secure grab. :thumb: Show me a picture please While looking for a good pic, I found a company that makes a foam version of what I'm taking abo...

How does it compare to Ocean Rodeo Mako Duke ? Anyone had a chance to ride both of them ?
It's nearly the same dimensions and shape to the old MD. It does have 5-fin boxes now which is nice for fin set-up preferences. The 25% reduction in weight is quite appealing too.
I want to try one!

The shoulder straps offer stability of a backpack, but without the bulk. Since it attaches to both your waist and shoulders, it reduces the chance of l...

Re: recomendations impact vest (with a bit of a rant)

Do the yellow Neil Pryde vests provide impact protection as well as flotation? Also, is there a vest that won't interfere with a rope slider harness? Yes for the NP vests! The difference is simply the thickness of the foam. Impact vests are generally thinner or have modified foam paneling, but both...
