Re: Building HF-board; as light as possible, what construction?

20 mm thick isn't very thick. This is why shinn puts the carbon plate on the bottom for the foils But here is what I am thinking #1 I would make a carbon stringer for it . if not 3-4 of them with abs rails #2 4oz 2x2 twill, HM12oz uni,HM 8oz biax +-45 (so it crosses the board at 45degree,2mm soric ,...

Re: How much does your HF and board Combo weigh?

120 pocket board , Man-O-War foil by jellyfishboards. 5.4kgs No fillers 100% carbon Houre's new foil is suppose to be 2.5kgs complete board and foil... I would love to shave 6 lbs off my set up but then I would worry about it breaking easy. terrie " We ride what we BUILD" http://www.jellyfishboards....

Re: Wings only project

Sky good job.. the only thing I found with the rear AOA is how it feels in the water.. more drag or less. changing it 1-2degrees make a big difference.. we have gone from -2 on the stab to -3.5 and you could tell there was more drag at speed but you could life easier.
