Re: DIY onestrut kite

Hello Kitexpert:
Looks cool!
I'm currently testing these for hydrofoil use. Both have either straight (luffable) or profiled user remove-able center struts and short fixed no pulley bridles. True 9sqm weight is 2Kg without strut, 2.5kg with.
Cheers!

Re: Low AR foil kite

Hello Stef: AFAIK, Switch has no plans to add ram-foils to the product mix other than the Trainer foils already offered.

Hello Kitexpert: No kite is perfect in every way so there is always room for further development.

Cheers!

Re: Weight of LEI kite sizes ?

Hello Peter: Here is a chart of weight vs flat and proj area. Some are 2015 models. Newer versions have different strut construction and reduced bladder sizes which reduce weight. Aspect ratios and other data can be found on the website. It is interesting to note that the weight/area numbers drop wi...

Re: light wind kite quest 2016

Hello SparD: Weight is often discussed on this forum without any effort to properly compare and account for true flat area, true projected area, number of struts, aspect ratio, profile, planform, etc. and their combined effect on performance. Otherwise it is a meaningless oversimplification except f...
