knife

I've used the bearclaw with the tear drop tip 2510 http://www.km01.com/bear.html The steel is not great. Ordered one of these http://www.newgraham.com/bm5blk.htm A better stainless - still not marine grade though. I my opinion, being around ropes/line, you should carry a knife you can get with one h...

saying a g2-15 turns as fast or even close to the g-13 shows just how biased you may be. It doesnt, sure its a faster kite than the original gorillas, but its just not that huge of an improvement, PL kites promise so much more than they delliver its a big disappointment to the loyal few. there is a...

Re: From Foil to tube. North or Slingshot?

After flying PL Guerillas for 2 years I am about to go over to tubekites. In despite I like PL Acrs much, I want more flying speed and steering speed. Especially for the big sizes. I do not think the Venom 16 and 19 will be good low-end performers.?) Just a thought here, if you have been on Guerill...

Flying down is a no brainer, driving hmmmm..... You could fly into Cabo San Lucas and drive up, not to bad a drive, stop in Los Barriles on the way up. Catch the early morning LAX alaska arilines flight and kite in the afternoon. Or fly into La Paz, easy drive, although i understand rental cars can ...

mechanical engineer

As a mechanical engineer looking at the Wichard 2674 there are a couple of things to look at First a force is exerted on the release mechanism that is dependent upon moment exerted and the coefficient of friction of metal to metal. Since the release is a good distance from the pivot there is a prett...

Broken

I have seen and ridden many underground boards and have never seen one broken but seen plenty of other boards that failed. I don't think any board is completely impervious to being broken but just looking at their (underground) contstruction you know they are pretty strong. I don't think? the carbon...

helmets and land

Sid, I think the issue is that most people launch their kites from land and then walk over that land and then get in the water and when they come in they again walk over the land. Correct me if i am wrong but people are dying and getting serious head injuries on land. That is the place with the hard...
