Re: Duotone Introduces The Capa - Freeride Foil Kite

Ralf Grosel is I believe an independent contractor who designs for duotone,

I don’t think it odd that duotone is releasing a ram air kite. I hope other companies follow that lead.

I also like the trend of lighter lei kites. With new materials and construction.

Foil board deck pads

I’m looking for a suggestion for replacing the deck pads on my slingshot micro dwarfcraft.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Re: Would you buy a very sharp wing?

If it's too pointy/sharp for you, you can just sand it off. Spot on, no reason to dwell more on this :thumb: 8) Peter I would disagree, it won’t be as sharp, but it will still be relatively sharper compared to the thicker rounded profiles on surf wings, 7AFF3827-E951-4ADA-9AC8-17CCB1534127.png

Re: Duotone Click vs Trust bar

I don’t know what beaches on the coast or inland lakes you hang out on but the only place I have been that anyone gives a crap about what gear you use is here. You know when you are resorting to insulting people that your argument is weak. Have you taken a gander at a Cabrinha overdrive bar? 2DFF0F9...

Re: Duotone Click vs Trust bar

....I think you over estimate the complexity. The only special too you need is an Allen wrench. The same size you use to tighten your fin screws. I’m sure in a pinch I could fabricate something as a replacement for the click part. Or just run equal length flexed lines. I think you are really stretc...

Re: Duotone Click vs Trust bar

The click bar is heavier than the trust bar but it is not hard to maintain. When I go to a remote spot, I take two of everything. That is remote spot 101 planning. Ummmmmm......???????? Is not "remote spot 101 planning" all about NOT having some super technological impossible to jury rigg contrapti...

There is really only ne part that I would be concerned with not being able to jury rig. I’d just buy a spare in advance if I was that co...

Re: Duotone Click vs Trust bar...

Which bar shortens the depower throw then? Bars with or without PU, the depower throw is always the same no matter how much you shorten the frontline. Looks like I am living in the past as it appears that most if not all above the bar adjustments don’t change the throw. Regardless if there is pu on...

Re: Duotone Click vs Trust bar...

Depower throw doesn’t change when you depower the kite. I don't think that's applicable to any bar out there. The depower rope is above the depower throw part, not the same part. But I agree on the other points, the click bar is just the best thing you can get. If it's worth the bucks, that's entir...

Re: Duotone Click vs Trust bar...

With the Click bar been almost twice the price of the trust bar ,is it worth the extra bucks... I guess that is your value judgement, I prefer the click to the trust as it is a lot cleaner. Once you have used the rear line adjustment click bar it is hard to go back to all of that dangling stuff. De...
