grab names

all the grab names came from skating. Noone else has ever really needed to grab the board as much as vert skaters did. And leaning in or back or out enough to grab the board indy or stalefish *really* changed the projection and flow of the trick, sometimes meaning a lot more commitment. Grabbing the...

power when riding toeside - why does it seem lighter?

I've been kiting on snow and water for a few years and have noticed that I always (especially on a snowboard) seem to have a harder time keeping power and speed on my toeside. I really like riding toeside, making turns into and out of it, and on water I can tell that my toeside speed is really depen...

An hour on a friends trainer, then KGB with a trainer for several hours, then snow with a Ozone 5m multiple sessions, then 2 hour lesson to get me on the board in the water. Then, when on my own, lots of time in shallow water and moderate wind. Most of my safety and kite control was learned on the s...

kite mags

Great question! How tos on home made stuff would be great, and you could sell some advertising to plywood manufacturers.... - no seriously, that would be nice, as well as some info on aftermarket mods and some articles about experiments that work and don't. I like the profiles of older interesting p...

psycho kite addict - which kites flown?

Hey - here comes the snowy part of the year and I was just looking at the new movie on kitefilms PsychoKiteAddict. Which is amazing of course - great cinema, terrain and riding. But I saw it was a Flexifoil movie - but with Chasta Guigignol (or whatever) who was an Ozone rider last I heard. But some...

put it in both

if that's convenient for you, but it's really good to me to be able to use the "search" for products in kitesurfing, and get all the good info that isn't a review but is relevant.

surf bows and foils

I love my flysurfer and peter lynn but have to say that if they go down in the surf they can create a huge mess. After the first time that I pulled a soaked 13m psycho2 out of the surf, stripped the kelp out of the bridles, poured the water out of the kite, all while my friends were riding, I went t...

Footpads needed when using booties?

My bay has enough barnacles/rough beach/cold water that I'm always always always going to be wearing a pair of thick soled booties. With this in mind do I need to put footpads on the plyboard that I'm making and will probably never travel with?
