Re: Weight - Weight - Weight

Supra EZ, sorry for the english.... When I used to hanglide my wing had to be a Jumbo Jet... In windsurfing my waveboard was a boat.... The pros always used smaller equipment.... But in a certain "sport" an aspect that there was always a tecnical advantage is "members" weight...and size.... I am sta...

Re: Weight - Weight - Weight

Thank's everybody for the imput. Let me give an example, say I want a board with a program like the 2012 "Kontact 6'1"" 185 / 6'1" 44.5 / 17.5........ No my 230 pound friend..... you will never be able to adequately use a design like that.... you should settle for an 2012 "X-Surf 5'11"" 180 / 5'11" ...

Re: Weight - Weight - Weight

2 Issues Here First a suggestion to include the members weight close to his nickname so we can better evaluate his experiences. The second is more of a wish, that manufacturers made "bigger" high end kitesurf surfboards. What we have to settle for is a "light wind" shape for the same "avarage" weigh...

Re: Weight - Weight - Weight

Exactly Eree!!! That is why here in the forum, if it is a FREE forum, we have to liberate ourselves of this! We need the FULL picture, without the basic parameter of rider weight all stories told are nice stories to read. As for age, manufacturers should respect us more, shure, in my case I was 85kg...

Re: Weight - Weight - Weight

Thanks for the math Douglas, the board in question is aimed at a normal 65-85 kg man, I am 44 pounds above the upper intended limit. Now in real life things are somewhat different, lots of variables..., thats why its important to have an "admensional" reference, if we always new the SIZE (kg, Lb..) ...

Weight - Weight - Weight

Always in this forum I find it more difficult to quickly andcorrectly evaluate reviews and personal experiences because there is a parameter missing. Weight of the rider , and hight would help, it should appear right next to his nickname, so we can "scale things" to our size.....My quiver is this......

Re: Transitioning a Surfboard

Thanks for the advice, going always upwind when not in a wave is a necessity, and the going upwind transition is cool and a new frontier, I hope someone has other videos or an istructional one on this.

Transitioning a Surfboard

Incredible thing how the mind works, I always surfed with the right foot forward, so in a transition I go to toeside and swich, toeside is tiering after a while. With the left foot forward what works for me is switching first the feet and then the board. Jybe and swich, swich and jybe. Toeside with ...

Griffin Kites

I had the experience of using an 10.5m 2010 kite and really liked the bars power lock system.
Looking for an light wind kite I see they have an affordable 16m Griffin and 17m Argo.
Anyone has had experience with these kites?
What about durability?
Thank You.
