Re: Flysurfer Soul vs. Ozone Hyperlink for LW foilboard riding

can't comment on the Fs,

at my spot only hyperlinks... the ultralight 12 allows foiling with 5-6 knots for experienced riders. 5 is really the lower limit...

The regular hyperlink does not fly that well in extreme low winds.

Re: hydrofoil kite quiver ...

Im flying a 13m edge for learning to foil, I've tried it with 5m line extensions in wind under 11kts. I understand your frustrations as I swam a couple of times. Relaunch is my No.1 requirement now. Perhaps its as simple as waiting for a few more kts of wind for your 12m than spending a lot of mone...

Re: hydrofoil kite quiver ...

You didn't say your weight. But if you are under 80kgs, If you are foiling 10-17 knots all the time, I would get a Soul 10 or a Hyperlink Ultralight 9m. I am 75-78 kg and use my Hyperlink UL 9m 100% in those conditions. I retired my 12m Lei, keeping it in case my son picks up kiting. Under 10 knots...

Re: F-One IC6 850 and TS-51

I've owned this setup for a while now, and I really like the foil. I't bomb proof and holds up really well after a few close encounters with the sandy bottom. The aluminium mast and fuselage seem to be well built and everything is easy to setup. I'm not so happy with the build quality of the board ...

Re: beginner foil

I have the Shinn P foil and Jackson setup. Haven’t used it yet. Any advice on the treatment of the screws with the stuff they supply. Do you use it more than once? The stuff is to prevent galvanic corrosion between the aluminium parts and the inox parts. apply it on every bolt between those metals....

Re: beginner foil

Hey all, Tanks for the input... This weekend I tested the IC6 north on a 90 cm mast, and the north speedster on the 60 cm mast... kite was 9m² in 13-17 knots. I never foiled before, but I have some years of strapless kiting on skim and waveboard. First test was the IC6... i had a fight for 1.5h and ...

beginner foil

hello, I would want to buy my first foil... i've some years of strappless kiting on wave board and skimboard...i'm not interested in high perfomance foiling, I just want to have fun on those 8-12 knots days and go to strapless foiling asam. I have 3 foils on my shortlist, but very difficult to make ...

Re: Countries where you need to have an insurance?

Hello, since a few months Belgium has a strict kite regulation. (due to an accident last year) - Insurance is needed. a few details about this ( for 90% complete stupid) regulation: - only kiting in allowed regions - Kites must adhere to a club, which is member of the national sailing federation (vy...

Re: EH Rippehr (Freakdog Unleashed) = Excellent kite!

Also, someone else talked about the 11 eze for their low wind kite. I have a v3 beast 11m and although it is super stable and has an unbelievable amount of power (I fly it when others are on 13-16m kites) I want an EH kite that has that lowend ablility 12-13mph and up with faster turning and lighte...
