Re: beginner foil

I have the Shinn P foil and Jackson setup. Haven’t used it yet. Any advice on the treatment of the screws with the stuff they supply. Do you use it more than once? The stuff is to prevent galvanic corrosion between the aluminium parts and the inox parts. apply it on every bolt between those metals....

Re: beginner foil

Hey all, Tanks for the input... This weekend I tested the IC6 north on a 90 cm mast, and the north speedster on the 60 cm mast... kite was 9m² in 13-17 knots. I never foiled before, but I have some years of strapless kiting on skim and waveboard. First test was the IC6... i had a fight for 1.5h and ...

Re: Countries where you need to have an insurance?

Hello, since a few months Belgium has a strict kite regulation. (due to an accident last year) - Insurance is needed. a few details about this ( for 90% complete stupid) regulation: - only kiting in allowed regions - Kites must adhere to a club, which is member of the national sailing federation (vy...

Re: EH Rippehr (Freakdog Unleashed) = Excellent kite!

Also, someone else talked about the 11 eze for their low wind kite. I have a v3 beast 11m and although it is super stable and has an unbelievable amount of power (I fly it when others are on 13-16m kites) I want an EH kite that has that lowend ablility 12-13mph and up with faster turning and lighte...

Re: Anyone tried the nobile skimboard?

The 07 model becomes yellowish after a few hour of sun... no big deal... I ride with stock fins, guys over here...

Re: Anyone tried the nobile skimboard?

I've one since a few months, and a big fan of it... strange during the first sessions, but great light wind fun... for 'heavy footed' people it will be harder to master. you've to shuffle with your feed on the board to 'feel' where they have to be for the specific conditions... less wind is more at ...

Re: EH Rippehr (Freakdog Unleashed) = Excellent kite!

Hello, I agree with what has been said about the rippehr. I've the 9 since a few months and i'm satisfied for 100%. Good construction, very good depower, short depower throw (30cm), good upwind, light bar pressure but enough to have good feedback, good hangtime, simple but effective bar construction...

Re: Do you wear a helmet? WHY? / WHY NOT?

I kite for 8 years now, and have always worn a helmet. (and an impact jacket). I don't feel comfortable if I don't wear it... it's just a habit. I've already made a few hard crashes, and been hit by my board in the waves. and always happy i had my protective gear. A few years ago about 80% of the ki...

Re: Survey - What do you do for a living?

Since a year I'm working in a high school. Teaching chemistry to future engineers (only practical lab work, no ex cathedra theory...) I'm allowed to work 2 half day a week at home. Plus during exams I can take off during the afternoon, I try to schedule all appointments as much as possible during th...
