Re: Survey - What do you do for a living?

Since a year I'm working in a high school. Teaching chemistry to future engineers (only practical lab work, no ex cathedra theory...) I'm allowed to work 2 half day a week at home. Plus during exams I can take off during the afternoon, I try to schedule all appointments as much as possible during th...

Re: EZE=No Joke

Finaly the conditions were good today to test our new EZE's. My 11, and my friend his 13. Wind started at 11 knots, and decreased gradually during the afternoon. Side on-shore wind, small waves (max 1m), chop, air temp about 8°C, water 6°C. My 11 (with my Jaime pro 128*38) was a little too small. ...

don't go for the 8 unless you have regulary nuclear winds on your home spot. (>35 knots).
9 is ok for a quiver with the 13. You'll swap around 18-20 knots.
(I have the 9 and 13)
I can ride the 9 from 16 untill more than 30 knots. The 13 from 11- 23 knots (maybe a little more). (70 kg, board 128*37.5)

Im not sure though if a windrange of 10knts is realistic for a 13m kite, i probably wouldnt bother to pump a kite at this windspeed, how is it achieving this, do you really have to work the kite hard? Yes, of course you have to work the kite hard. But once your board is on speed you can lock it. I o...

@ mossi

Yes, 10-20 knots with a jaime pro 128. (it's my 3rd season on that board)
10 knots is just cruising... don't imagine you'll jump. ( and no waves, and no current... just flat water)
small jumps starts at 12-13 knots.

Hi, I had the same problem as you. Looked on every forum on the internet and asked a lot of questions. Finally I went for the 13 and 9. (70 kg, board jaime pro 128) 13 from 10 't ill more than 20 knots. (easy) 9 from 16 till more than 30 knots. (easy) I don't think you will need a smaller kite than ...
