"Jason" a one-time ram user, had a similar epiphany when he went from using Warriors to Rhino2s. He said his riding improved "100%."

See the topic: "Flysurfer Warrior- Exploding."

Eppo's comments on the Airush 15.5 are similar to the experience of a lot of ram users. Eppo, a one-time ram fanatic, has just experienced the eye-popping revelation of inflatable-flying. I can categorically promise any ram user that flying a QUALITY 2003 inflatable (eg Airush, Rhino2) will blow you...

Eppo .. I wrote the above stuff on Mark Shinn and Flash. Without wanting to stir up the ram/inflato crap again, I honestly think you'll find jumping easier and more natural on an inflatable like the Airush 15.5 you've just had a ride on. A couple of sessions on this, and I can pretty much guarantee ...

Thanks Toby.

The beauty of this forum is that if you don't want to read a topic, you don't have to.

There is a lot of good stuff aside from the ram/inflatable babble.

So ram boys, if you don't agree with my research/opinions, argue your case (politely please!) or leave the topic alone.

It is a bit sad that the ram proponents above don't take my comments on face value. Ram lovers seem to love conspiracy theories eg: 1- The reason none of the top 50 pros in the PKRA use rams is not because rams are aerodynamically inferior, it is because there is an industry-wide conspiracy against ...

There is little point in saying "my kite jumps bigger than yours." Individual anecdotal stories, without hard evidence, have little credibility. The best, most objective way, to compare different brands/types of kite is in a controlled environment where the variables are the same for every kite. Alm...

In reply to Wildthang... No... I'm not the anon previously known as LEISPISSONRAMS. There have been quite a few people pointing out the inadequacies of rams in other topics. All my posts have attempted to be rational, non-personal, and not abusive. There have been people from either side of the ram ...

There must be an explanation for the better aerodynamic handling of inflatables, for their domination of market share, and for virtually all pros choosing them for competitions. To this end, I've summarised the aerodynamic reasons for the superiority of inflatables: 1: Lift to drag ration (L/D) - Th...

Stand side by side on the beach during wind dropouts. I promise the Warrior will drop before a quality inflatable.

The 16.5 warrior is hard to turn and less stable than most 2003 inflatables. eg Any Rhino2 above 16m will pull as well as the 16.5 Warrior, with fewer hassles.

The Warrior also fall from the sky BEFORE the Rhino2 in wind dropouts. Don't flame me for this... just check it out side by side.
