I don't know, Blow, but I was wondering the same thing! Started to post the same request but you beat me 2it. Hopefully Rick or somebody already has a comprehensive list. Otherwise, whoever knows of a ban, please post...

The site I looked at was Defender.com. I put a link a few posts back. Theyhad a range from about $150 - $350 USD. The $350 model is "waterproof & submersible". Good point on previous post about cell phone range, ect. The VHF radios may have limits, too. It's beeen said that they're most effective if...

Might fit inside the Aqua-Pac, it appears. I've heard of guys carrying cell phones before, too.

I wonder how those guys were attaching and using the aqua-pac to their helmets.

More re: reel leashes

I've been using the Surf Nut reel leash for over a year and it has never failed me in any way. During that time, I botched many jumps but only had the board slingshot back at me once. It's always a good idea to wear a helmet but especially if you're leashed to the board in any way. You can get the S...

X2 16 new L.E. bladder. I've taken out and put bladders back in AR5's and ARX's but the X2 is giving me problems. Here's how it went: Installed NEW bladder using standard techniques and all seemed fine except one elbow joint was pinched. Slightly deflated and massaged that joint and that took care o...

Another vote for reel leashes here. In addition to what has already been said in their favor, I'd like to point out something else. Many kite zones are fairly packed with riders in a relatively small area. Distinct traffic patterns emerge and keep the flow moving. Until somebody loses their board. N...

Thanks Anon. This does look like a cool bar. Could you tell us more about it? The brochure is very general. If a "quick push" on the bar releases the trim loop, what about accidental releases? What are the mechanics of the device? How many hours do you have using the new bar, so far? Thanks for tell...

Like Dwight said, we've easily filled 4 pages (and then some) talking about all of this. Shackles, quick release spreader bars, improved control bars and leashes are all vital aspects of kite equipment that need to become more universally improved. Hopefully, industry is focusing more research and d...
