I bought a DC Boardz 4 play quad last year and I cant begin to describe how perfect it is. I think any quad fin board is more suited to kitesurfing than a standard surfboard ..... lots of reasons but look at derecks own site or at some of my rambles on http://surfing-with-kites.blogspot.com/ for inf...

I second the DC Boardz quad - amazing grip very quick turns on a dime. Previously had a custom 5 foot board thruster but was prone to cavitation and never felt right. I cant complain about one thing on the DC board and it is pretty cheap for a custom $700 (well that is cheap compared to store prices...

O'neil Psycho 2 3/2 is easily warm enough - I now just use this and then drysuit when it goes to baltic. 3/2 easily warm enough for 8 degree air 10 degree water and 30 knots of wind.

But best fit and soft rubber will make you warm.

Great yellow board you have sitting in the corner!!!! Well that's the Airush hammer 138 but I guess you knew that - bought on a whim when taking my new quad to Cape Town looked too expensive. I wrote a blog http://surfing-with-kites.blogspot.com/ Hammer is great in the chop or slight waves - ...
