Let's see if North follow through on this and Jim does in fact get sorted. I speak as someone who only uses North equipment -- because I like it -- but who has had some frustration with after sales support from the UK distributor (my dealer though has really tried to resolve issues). I remain loyal ...

I have the 07 Rebel 10m. In lighter wind gusty conditions it is very prone to Hindenburging and I have had it completely invert once (as in the picture on the linked thread). Scary stuff. I really appreciate its qualities in strong/nukin conditions though as the ability to depower it when the gusts ...

I use the North vest which is certainly floaty enough .... makes me bob around like a cork. Better still, it is a cool black colour and the flotation pads are in the shape of a six-pack making me look ripped which, sadly, when I remove my gear, I am not.

I live in the UK and had the same problem trying to book the San Paulo > Fortaleza sector online. Discovered that TAM have a London office and booked over the telephone with them. No problems.

Good luck,

I was always told I could not use contacts because my eyes were "unsuitable" (too dry) but then the technology of contacts evolved and suddenly it was OK. I use the Acuvue lenses and a pair of SeaSpecs over the top. It changed my life. I was a bit squeamish about contacts at first, but now I am used...

I weigh 85kgs and ride a Dragon 135cm. My quiver is a 12m Vegas 06 and a 10m Rebel 07. I appreciate the Rebel but I love the Vegas. I will explain. The Rebel is great in really nukin gusty conditions. However bad it is you just go out and when the gusts hit you push the bar out ... it is amazing how...

In the South of England (including London), where most of us live*, unless I am mistaken, there has not been a single decent day of wind on a weekend or public holiday (including the four day Easter weekend) since before Easter. I met the London kitesurfers for Tuesday drinks last night. We are all ...

Charlie posted a few pages back suggesting it was all OK because Robin does lots of volunteer stuff for the sport. Charlie suggested he preferred to discuss this all offline. I made the point that Robin's good works were all very commendable but ultimately this was off the point. I invited Charlie t...

Some of you people are such tools, a simple edit for clarification and your all over it, the fact that anyone read through the entire article to note a descrepency as small as this is ridiculous, I swear most of you are more interested in adding to your total Best Bashing post's then contributing t...
