Alternatively, maybe the dudes riding waves should rather freestyle. therefater no pb in the wave area. Wave riders just take too much space... :argue:

Been there in 2005 (Lohifushi) on a 2 week surf trip. waves are great for surfing (Sultans, Lohis, Jais etc..). One dude kited a couple of days in the Lagoon. Maldives does not strike me as a great kiting destination.

Agreed 5/ 7 /9. Take kites that have a large wind range. Conditions tend to be gusty.

I would argue that generally (there are of course excpetions) the older you get, the more cautious you will become.This will in turn slow your progression in kiting.

Not sure where you are kiting in RSA but crowds are hardly a pb in Cape Town. There might be loads of kite in the water (especially in summer) but choose your spot on the long stretch of coast and you should not have any pb. If you happen to be kiting with loads of dudes (as It happened to me yester...
