Re: Flexifoil Neautron as first kite

You'll pick up better kites for not much more money. Having said that I had a nine and it's a pretty decent kite. Just make sure it's pumped up really hard. I moved onto a RRD vision 2012, and it's a much better kite. I still have a Flexi Shiva which is a great beginners kite and cheap if you can fi...

Re: Bar Low "Y" or high "Y' 4 line bar

I have a couple of RRD's that use a high Y and a Flexifoil that uses a low. I turned up to the beach one day and forgot my Flexi bar  so it was a case of try the RRD bar or go home and sulk. Luckily the Flexi kite has very long rear attachments and needed the lines attaching about 6 inches hig...

Re: Surfpm.com

Been a year now since I got the kite, and even though it's a 17m its been used lots, just as much as my 13.
I would use them again, but the weak pound doesn't make it worth it at the moment I'm afraid.

Kite specific skim or go finless?

So I love the days when it's onshore and 10knts and I'm the only person out on my 17m and light wind board. Had that last night and at times it was hard work, but another couple of knots really brings the grin on :D With incoming waves I'm only riding in 6 to 12 inches of water so am always weary of...

Re: Wave kites and upwind

For a start. Why only go out in wave above shoulder high when its on shore? I don't get it. Its harder to ride big waves in onshore conditions than cross shore conditions. Infact the more cross to cross if becomes the easier it is to ride the waves. Anyway, By your description you don't actually wa...

Wave kites and upwind

I'm looking for new kites and am bit confused as to what I need. The two spots I ride go from flat to shoulder high waves. Once it gets any bigger I'd give it a miss unless it was onshore. I've just bought a surfboard as I enjoy playing about in the waves. I'm never going to be aiming for KOTA, so d...

Re: Whose lost/gain weight? hows that affect your kite wind ranges?

Over about a year I lost over 3 stone. (20ish kgs).
I don't think it's affected my wind range that I've noticed, but I tend not to ride overpowered.
But, I find it much easier to jump higher now.

Re: How many sessions should be expected for a harness?

Third for the Mystic warrior. Mines a waist/seat.
It's the only harness I've owned since starting to landboard, then kitesurf. Had it 11 yrs now.
Very little sign of wear, all the straps and stitching are very good still.

Does that put me in the lead? :naughty:
