Re: Cabrinha Double Agent Test Results

To compare weights to the MHL Lift 2015: The lift mast & fuselage = 5 lbs, 1 oz. The Cab mast & fuselage = 6 lbs, 4 oz. The Lift and Cab wings are within an ounce of each other, the Lift being slightly heavier. As far as the deck for surf, I only got two underpowered tacks to say, but it felt more l...

Re: Cabrinha Double Agent Test Results

The airline didn't completely lose my luggage! My bag arrived 4 days after I did, but I'll take it. Here are some pics:

Cabrinha Double Agent Test Results

I was lucky enough to get out in the Gulf of Mexico twice in the last week on the new Cabrinha Double Agent -- production version. While I've only ridden three other models of foils, I've had enough time on them to give the DA some comparison. First I rode it with two straps and really liked it. It ...

Re: xensr on its way

The Trace doesn't work for kiteboarding, or, at least it didn't when I bought one about a year ago. When I tried it set to "surf" it still didn't work. Something about the programming doesn't recognize kiteboarding/kitesurfing. I email their tech support and they confirmed it wouldn't work for kites...

Re: What Makes an Ideal LEI for Hydrofoiling?

hmmm.... someone once told me that even downwind, I would want a kite that goes the furthest to the edge of the window so it could catch the most wind. That is the opposite of drift. Maybe both work? Or I was told some hooey? Do foils like the R1 have any sizable drift? My perception is that they do...

Re: What Makes an Ideal LEI for Hydrofoiling?

I found the Edge doesn't drift enough to compensate for some of my "octopus falling out of a tree" moves on the hydrofoil. That is, I am pretty awkward at many moves. The Flite is light enough to drift better. Maybe not as good as a surf kite or strutless, but a whole more upwind though too. It seem...

What Makes an Ideal LEI for Hydrofoiling?

Specific to leading edge inflatable kites, what characteristics makes the ideal kite for hydrofoiling? I ask because over the last year I have observed and experienced some things and I wonder if I'm on the right track. When I hydrofoil, I can get myself into trouble with too much apparent wind and ...

Re: New Pumps on the Market

Taut, I agree, "wars" is hyperbole. They are all similar, but I bet brands will claim, for men, that your penis will definitely be bigger if you use theirs. I don't know what they'll claim with women. Maybe they are all made by Bravo. At most there may be 3-4 brands manufacturing them. Each brand wi...

New Pumps on the Market

Seems the kite product evolution has turned to the lowly kite pump. In an effort to make our kiting experience better -- and more profitable for manufacturers -- the pump is being improved. After one pump wars, inflation valve sizes, trim systems, materials, etc., we now get improved pumps. Check ou...

Re: Airush Sector

The V6 60 does still have the two rear strap option, but year, not much changed from the V5. I tried to ask Airush about a new Sector (as we are a dealer), but got no response. Of course, the hydrofoil market has taken a big chunk of the light wind board sales. Only those with shallow water or who d...
