Contra

The Contra is the oldest kite in the product line, but it seems to work pretty well for its intended purpose. Bob knows but that is probably the best thing for a dealer to do is not reveal anything before the company wants it revealed. So, I guess we are right back where we started then.... -Stafford

It doesn't seem like there is any RECENT news on the new kite. Everything posted so far goes back a while. Cabrinha seemed to be releasing a new kite every 3-4 months until the Omega took so long (SBII was out early last fall I think, then we didn't see the Omeba until March/April). One change we mi...

Omega bar pressure in 2:1, speed turning in 1:1

Shawn,

Great that you posted. It's nice to hear from great riders too! How do you rate the bar pressure in 2:1 on the Omega? How about in 1:1, is the turning speed still faster than the SBII?

Thanks,
Stafford

Garmin Edge 305

I'm using the Edge 305. I put it in my pocket for snowkiting, inside my drysuit in the cold water, and I may mount it on the bar this summer. I originally got it for bicycle riding so it is meant to mount on a bar. I posted a couple of snowkiting rides at http://www.kiteboardmilwaukee.com/GPS/HomePa...

Add a "Span Line" to Cabrinha bow kites? Can it be

Has anyone added a span line similar to Ozone Instinct's span line to keep bows from inverting? I have Cabrinha bows and it almost never has happened to me, but I watched a guy this summer try so new moves and he inverted, then another guy just today on the snow. Granted, it was gusting up to 35 mph...

Kitehouse

A good bet for info on what is coming from Cab is the Kitehouse people. They always seem to be testing prototypes from Cab several months in advance. I took a lesson on a Contra 14m bow 2 or 3 months before it was on the market. I saw a picture in a mag with a Kitehouse girl using the Omega bar mayb...

Let's all hate

This may be way off as an example, but I'll try anyway. (I'm not flame baiting and the last thing I want is C or bow kite only beaches, fights, blah blah blah). In mountain bikes, full suspension came along. Some proclaimed the death of hardtail mountain bikes, others said "Never!" Some said they ar...

Super cold temps causing kite failures?

I've heard speculation that the super cold temps can cause: A: bladders to burst B: Kite fabric to rip months latter. Anyone have any experience with either? On A, the kites weren't crashed hard. It was one of those "I was just flying along" and the kite got soft. On B, a guy told me several kites t...

Twannie,

I was under the impression the Ozone factory is wholly owned by Ozone and Ozone only - not "on their own"
