Re: high aspect foils

I am definitely looking forward to giving wingfoiling a go. Kiting in big well is fun, but it basically amounts to getting pulled down the swell by the kite, save for those brief moments when the kite is depowered and I haven't outridden it yet. Look at any kite video in waves, the kiter is rarely i...

Search the Comox Spit. I spent two weeks there in the summer at cadet camp as a kid, it felt like it blew most afternoons. You will have good options!

Re: Windsurf board for wing-foiling

Windfoiler here, I could see them being cool with it, if you're using one of their Slingshot brand windfoil boards as they would have properly reinforced boxes meant for windfoiling designed for that particular adapter. Your picture shows a Slingshot Chinook Tuttle adapter which is a bit of a weird ...

I think my IQ just dropped forty points reading some of the climate change denial posts in here.

Re: Foil polesurfing

When it's light and potentially shifty, there's more fun to be had windskating (or maybe now wingskating), the same effortless, energy-frugal motion as a foil, and it doesn't matter if wind shuts down. (and it costs f* all!) I spend enough time foiling on water in good conditions to not bother with...

Re: Foil polesurfing

I came from kitefoiling to windfoiling. The good thing about windfoiling is that I know I can always sail back in to shore when the wind drops to about 3mph, this happens all the time at my spot, it would suck when I was kitefoiling. That said, I can't get on foil as early as a good kitefoiler. If I...
