Perhaps I'll start by shifting to the H3 wing and the 90cm mast.
I only heard one review of the h3 wing. There was a video comparing all the wings. They said the h3 was a waste and they didnt recommend it for anyone.

Re: freeride to race foiling

Just go for it! It will take a few sessions to get used to it, but it's not too bad. The newer race foils are much more stable and easier to ride fast. You dont have to have your transitions nailed to ride a race foil. A race foil kite actually makes learning tracks much easier because it floats you...

Re: Liquid Force Impluse for Kiteboarding ?

Sorry to hijack thread, where should the impulse foil be placed on a surfboard for strapless kitefoiling and wakefoiling. Mounting on a 5'4" space pickle.

Re: Ozone R1 V3 is out?

Any more updates on R1V3 after more time with the kite? Is it as easy to fly as the V2?

Re: Open Palm Mitts and Pogies

Thanks everyone for the advice! I went with the NP open palm mitts, and am really happy with them. Adventure sports still has them on sale for $25, so you really can't go wrong: https://adventuresportsusa.com/np-split-finger-glove-open-palm.html Had them out for two sessions. FIrst session was 58F a...

Open Palm Mitts and Pogies

Was wondering what people's experience is with Open Palm Mitts and Pogies. No one likes wearing gloves. Gloves are even more of a pain with foil kites if you need to self rescue or untangle bridles on the beach. I don't usually go out when it's really cold anymore because foiling is colder with the ...

Re: Ozone R1 V3 is out?

Thanks for the update!

12m lines on a 21m kite is pretty short. Is that your usual line length for 21m kites? The V3 must turn pretty tight if you're able to jibe on lines that short!

Re: Ozone R1 V3 is out?

Anyone know if there is a price increase from r1v2? Theses are the only prices I've seen, and seem to be the same as v2: https://www.ozonekites.de/produkte/foilkites/r1v3/

Re: Ozone R1 V3 is out?

Interesting you picked up on this. To me, this is the biggest difference between Ozone design filosofi compared to how other brands put it. I wouldnt say ozone is the one brand with this philosophy. In the first gen race kites, I found the Flysurfer sonic to be more user friendly than the Chrono. 2...

Re: harness choice, doctors tale of woes.

General ergonomics are better standing than sitting. Especially under load. I fear for the current crop of foil racers. I can easily imagine there will be more than a few with lasting back issues. I agree, the upwind racing stance looks bad, but it doesnt feel bad. All the load is from your hips do...
