Re: quick release ejecting accidentally

These are actually fairly hard to activate by accident, unless either there's something bogus going on with it - or you're doing something what you aren't aware of.

Have you picked it up used? Are both elastics there? In what condition is the release mechanism?

Re: Waist Harness Bruising Ribs ?

Personally for landboarding I do the following: a. Sunny day light wind just climbing harness, a mid range Black Diamond, chicken loop to carabiner. Just cruising about. b. Serious light wind session board shorts harness. Maybe some unhooking. c. Winds up climbing harness/waste harness combo becaus...

Re: Waist Harness Bruising Ribs ?

Astropup Other than changing harness the 3 fixes I would look at are: a. Buying a wider spreader, good time to change to a rope slider which creates less torque than a hook. b. Buying a set of strappies. These are loops round the thigh with a webbing to hold the hook down of your harness. C. Buying...

Re: Waist Harness Bruising Ribs ?

Having done: Waist ==>Seat ==> Waist with leg straps ==> NOTHING BUT WAIST EVER SINCE Here are my 2cents: Seat harnesses solve 2 biggest issues with harnesses: 1)back pain (especially for noobs who don't have their stance sorted out) 2)harness riding up However - this comes at the expense of lower b...

Re: How likely am I to break a Apple series 3 watch?

Why not just wait until after the session to see what you hit? Knowing the real time height of your jumps won't make you go any higher it will just distract you from enjoying the session? Just an idea :) Instant gratification generation... Unless you're spending all your spare time facing a smartph...

Re: Eleveight OS

Unless you're foiling, why would you be considering a foiling-specific kite for surfing when Eleveight have a stellar surf-specific kite in their lineup?

Re: Coating your Kite

I've been running a long-term test with this: 214093.jpg Unfortunately, the kite which needed it the most got sold... so that was a bit inconclusive. I still have the 9 and 7, haven't had a chance to use the 7 since treatment and 9 only flew about half-dozen times. There's almost no weight penalty, ...

Re: Better grip before jump in chop?

Has anyone mentioned the concept of bearing off a little before you load and pop, rather than just trying to load your lines as much as possible with constant edge? Taking some pressure off your edge before you spot your piece of chop to load up on can help you really nail it when you set your edge...

Re: Edje 15m or zephyr17 for light wind

Why only limit yourself to Zephyr or Edge? There are other very interesting options in these sizes: -Cab Contra -OR Flite -Fat Lady I owned 2nd gen FL a while back, nowadays I'm last year's Flite when it's too light and it's a really fun kite to fly. Really fast-turning for a 17m - on pars with some...

Re: Eleveight RS with different bar

I've used the WS with other low V bars and strangely enough they don't work as well. They do work, but perform worse no question. Are you sure we're talking about same kites? All Eleveight kites are designed to work on standard 4 lines/v-split bars. Can't see why it would perform poorly. As far as ...
