Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Gunnar and kitenight11, if its a std mp4 file, the program for leveling could be used for ALL mp4 video files from any cam with same resolution. Or is it a different mp4 file from the Hero 8 (or Max when leveling turned off), which contains additional data so only this file can be leveled afterward...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Man am I the only to think that this new gopro 6, 7, 8 design is a piece of s###? Recording image quality is great, Im talking about the body design, interface and toughness. However you clean it salt and water gets in and the doors jam after a month. The camera freezes/overheats. That god damm awf...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Now I am confused... kitenight11 says Hero 8 does it with a gyro in the cam, you say it does not, only the Max. I don't have either, so don't know... Heard rumors that you need special software to edit, or just a rumor? 8) Peter For the Hero you need the app to make it Auto Level. The Max does it a...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Now the question is, how does the hero 8 compare in terms of leveling in linear mode? As it must be superior in terms of quality I assume, but if the Max levels better it is more equal :D Interesting now. 8) Peter The Go Pro 8 does not have Leveling. It can only be done in the app and then it's sup...

GoPro Max Horizon Level Test

Finally got a chance to try out a GoPro Max in Hero mode while Kitefoiling. I filmed both Linear and Wide modes for this test. Unfortunately I did not see the option to shoot in high bitrate, so this was shot with the lowest bitrate. Also it was shoot with very bad light in overcast conditions. http...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Gunnar, why doesn't Max work underwater? And don't you need waterproof case for Insta? The footage is blurred to hell on the max when it goes underwater. From the test shots I have seen in reviews of the Insta360R it is clean. No the Insta 360 is waterproof to 5m without a case. Go Pro Max: Screens...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Blimey, things are really getting interesting now. Check this video out and the drone attachments at the end :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zw5XSjk1xw Just ordered mine. It looks like it ticks all the boxes for me. Espcially that it works underwater. The Go Pro Max is cool, but the fact that ...

Re: Recycle your old TriFin Raceboards

https://youtu.be/wC91sXJZ2-A -- Gunnar Hi Gunnar, Have you continued to use the Raceboard with a windfoil? This guy has mounted a box a bit further forward on one and is using a surf fuselage foil. If it turns out that the original Raceboard tuttle box wasn't strong enough for a windfoil, it might ...

Re: Anyone tried foiling with a wing?

@Gunnar: Did you quit foiling with ultra short lines on sup? Was it only one try? It could be interesting in places with flat water and small launching space and also offshore winds. For me I see only a benefit with winging in unbroken waves, and unfortunately we have not these situation here. I di...
