Strange that the marketers would call this “Code Zero”. What are they gonna do when the designer decides he wants to make a strutless kite? Code Subzero?

Re: GoPro Remote Waterproofing

I had the same issue. I actually ordered another one, but that has the same. I ended up testing if I could wash the port out with fresh water after every session. That worked. So at least both seem to have water resistent USB Ports. After about a year both remotes are still working just fine. -- Gun...

Re: "Salt Stones" in kite bladders? Can some explain this to me?

Exactly what Mr-Markus said. Always a good Idea toi rinse out a bladder if seawater has gotten into the bladder after a large puncture or long swim with the valve open.

No. Well designed Carbon Masts do not do this.

Re: tacking wth foilkite - Hyperlink collapses

I've owned the hyperlink V1 9m and it's a stable kite, not prone to frontstalling. But if you have a large depower cord and sheet out fully on a tack it could overfly and stall ofcourse. See if this also happens when stationary on the beach (and be careful), trim the kite properly and use a stopper...

Re: tacking wth foilkite - Hyperlink collapses

Hi, I am new to foilkites (Hyperlink 9sqm). I am quite good at tacking strapless foilboard. With inflatables I always sheet out completely at a certain point. When I do this with the hyperlink it collapses and falls from the sky. I understand that foilkites are different. What should I do while tac...

Re: Winging and Self Rescue

Different levels of wind dropping If wind drops to 7-10kts, you're unable to get flying again, but you can still grovel standing up on a large board, and still a chance to hold your ground or even go upwind a little bit. If it drops below 6-7kts, the wing isn't self supported anymore, and the lack ...

Re: Winging and Self Rescue

Hi Toby, I teach how to self rescue to anyone I teach. In that situation with the wind still being cross onshore using the wing to bodydrag when sitting on the board (see video below from 2:15) would have been the easiest option. But also "Paddling with the wing behind etc." is something I assume an...

Wingfoil Tips: Bodydrag in strong winds and rough seas

Hi Everyone, A lot of riders are still sceptical about body-dragging to get you board back in strong winds and rough seas. Here is an example of how I do it. I am on a 3.5 Wing. It´s about 25 knots in the gusts, straight onshore winds with 1.5m rolling chop. I let the board get about 50m downwind be...
