Re: line length - wave specific

Around 20m is the sweet spot if you are properly powered up. If I go shorter even 2m shorter to around 18m, I can't get the slack in the lines I sometimes like to have to make a move on the wave. <18m lined kites just keep yanking me around and off the wave.

Re: fatality in france

I did read the thread and not trying to malign the dead, but the story said there were marks on the beach from where he was trying to fight the kite. Re: Fallen Heroes

Shocking. I loved watching him surf. One of the few Pros with my height. Respect. Hearing that he died alone in his hotel room on a lousy flight change over just boggles the mind. Story is that altitude (pressure variances from flying) exacerbates Dengue Fever. Also potentially catching another stra...

Re: 2011 board trend: trifin or quad?

My brief take so far.. Traditional speedy squash or pin tail shapes: Quad has a more grippy TT feel. Tri has a more loose surfy feel ( I prefer). Do not have enough experience on Fish shapes to answer the Tri vs Quad. I hope the trend is that kiteboard shapers build for Tri/Quad/Dual options on a si...

Re: Slingshot - 2011 Surf Series

Sounds like enough people (myself included) want to see how the switch between insert/waxed and strapped/pad system works. Another how to video would be great. :D

Re: Slingshot 2011

I'd say leave the holes and tracks but give us a solid option to ride the board strapless without getting wax in all the wrong places. Some kind of system that covers the deck in larger removable pads so that you can more easily switch back and forth (between strapless bliss and strapped hell 8) ). ...
