Long fuselage + small stab = Short fuselage + big stab ?
The fuselage length will primarily have a greater effect on the yaw of your foil, the stab size will mostly affect the pitch.

Re: Shorter fuselage or smaller stab?

I have had long and short fuselages for a few years now (F-One), the shorter one makes the foil more nimble when waveriding and is probably has less drag, combined with a smaller stab is very responsive. Longer fuselage with a bigger stab (the other extreme) should be better for learning as more sta...

Re: Trying to pick the right quiver for foiling

I also weigh 65kg and yes 10 to 12m single strut kite is the right choice down to 8kts. For less wind a foil kite will lower that limit to 5/6 kts.

I am thinking of buying a foil, the north sonar seems very appealing because of having just one board, the chase, and being able to kite and surf foil.
The convex deck of a surfboard does not suit foiling at all in my opinion.
That's a fact!

Re: north sonar foil or moses?

North= unknown + their first time foil product will improve in time. Moses= Well know designs though overpriced for the amount of carbon they are actually made of. If these 2 are the only brands you have access to go for Moses, otherwise, there are too many other better brands out there. Alpine, Ket...

.

Based on Aeros Navy video IMO to claim it is near equal or "better in every way" compared to Soul sounds completely BS.
No offense but judging a kite based on a video is not?

Re: I sold my flysurfer soul in favour of.

Has anyone here tested the F-One Halo or Aeros Navy ? I use to own 10m Soul but found those two better in every way. The Aeros is almost half the price but the F-One a little more expensive than Soul so maybe not really worth the extra money. The only advantage I found for the Soul is water re-launc...

I have seen from time to time kite and other gear from various brands available but debranded with no logos etc.
In other words stolen from the brand by the factory.

Re: I sold my flysurfer soul in favour of.

I know at least 5 local riders who bought into the Soul hype but all have since sold them. Same here, overrated. So many better foil kites out there, faster, less bar pressure and performance. Most Soul buyers are first-time foil kite buyers so have no reference to compare and follow the heard. Goo...

Re: Wingfoiling not foiling?

I have seen some small SUP's I think Kalama with a small fin in the middle of the board, perhaps the solution?

Also F-One have an SUP with removable middle side fins for "Winging" without foil.
