Re: Strutless kite trend

I have tried and flown only one Strutless kite so far, a prototype from EPIC Kites in 9m. This kite has battons as you can see on the pictures. strutless epic.jpg I flew the kite on the flat, haven t tried it yet in the waves. The power delivered was great, I didn t have any problem kitelooping the ...

Re: What is the real purpose of having a trimmer on a kite b

In a perfect world I would live next to a huge sandy beach with warm water, consistent wind, and a beautiful bikini clad assistant to pump and rig multiple kites for me and to keep several different boards within easy reach. But that's not my reality. (Maybe it's yours... if you're Richard Branson)...

Re: Epic Kites 3rd Generation. 3G II

An other awesome Kiteboarding day with the Renegade 6.5m 4G and 4G bar. This bar has a metalic buckle and it works as good as the other 25+ plastic buckles I had on my previous bars in the past few years! G0010401.JPG I had 1 depower straps that didn t hold anymore after a while using it.......repla...

Re: The Surf kite from Epic Kites

Thank you Flysurf77 for the post and pictures about the SURF 12 . Did you use 22 meter lines, 15 meter lines or 18 meter lines? Personally I love 15 meters but the SURF will come with an extra set of 18 meter lines. The RENEGADES are the ones that come with an extra set of 15 meter lines. This is s...

Re: The Surf kite from Epic Kites

Kind of a bummer it won't water launch with 11/15 knots of wind! That seems like it would be enough wind to launch most kites....? :-? Well, that must be a very handsome surf kite if it can't be launched in 11/15 knots. I thought you can launch (and kite) Epic kites in 2 knots? Uhm, that sound like...

I was close to the houses on shore, almost no wind and downwind current.

Re: The Surf kite from Epic Kites

Today the wind was pretty light in the morning, 11/15 knots on shore, so took the SURF kite 12m prototype to give it a go! I weight about 145Lbs, 150Lbs after getting wet! :naughty: I couldn t self launch it in the water as the wind was too light and the kite couldn t stay standing on the side of th...
