Re: Pocket board building

Why anyone would choose Xps as core vs Eps is not understood. Any breach of water proofing, even tiny dings, and open cell will drink like its 1999! Closed cell extruded can be bought for next to nothing, or if stronger core is wanted airex, or other can be used. And rails? I, we have built 7...

Re: Mast to Fuse Connection Repair

Post would have been much better either in hydrofoil or gear builders, that said. Put your STRUT in a black plastic trash bag and tape it shut. Place in full sun. Sometimes boards take days to dry but this should be quick, like an afternoon. When u r sure absolutely sure NO H20 then proceed. Open cr...

How can this still be so fun?

As I get along in age sometimes I look back at all the hobbies, sports I have enjoyed and ask myself, why do I still enjoy Kite Board HydroFoiling so much, even after many years? I assume that maybe like you I have dabbled in some pretty cool hobbies and sports but they seem to loose my interest aft...

I am pleased to see that guys are honest enough to point out the many problems with L F gear.
We also have had this experience.

Some of the riders on KF are using hockey gear as protection. You'll never see this in Aust. Never ever.
So in a country as big as AU, you know every foiler?
Never say never anyway!
Again SAFETY issue, needs attention.

Re: The Naish Wing

How many times does he call a "wing" a "kite"?
NOT even close by definition.
But alas here kiteboarding is called kitesurfing
STRUTS are called masts :angryfire:
Ram air kites, foils...
Sail boarding, windsurfing...
Such a shame as English can be so descriptive if used correctly.

Re: New Winging section on the KF?

Kites have lines, tethered by definition.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kite
The wing thing has no lines therefore not a kite.
Kite forum here.
