Re: knee brace for osteoarthritis

They're actually doing stem cell injections into the knee, saw this a few days ago. http://www.healio.com/orthopedics/biologics/news/online/%7B0cd61592-5eed-4b52-a868-e7576aab3fdf%7D/stem-cell-knee-injection-shown-to-regenerate-meniscus-reduce-pain I always wondered how you get selected to be tested...

Re: Average Joe Kite Review- Light wind kites

Glad to see the Cloud was added. You might want to add the Airush LIthium Zero 18m to the test mix as well. I've had mine stay up when I saw my buddies Core XR3 LW 19m fall out of the sky. I worked mine back to the beach and landed instead of swimming in. I'll be trying his Core next time around and...

Re: No Strut vs Strutted Light Wind Kites

So what's the actual weight for the 17m?

My 2014 Airush Lithium Zero18m is 3.42kg, the 2012 Switchblade 16m is 4.58kg. I'm surprised no one ever posts actual weights here. Coming from a biking background, the forums are nothing but real weight of components on scales.

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

I'm really liking my Airush Lithium Zero 18m strutless! Though it's pretty much almost impossible to relaunch at 6mph but I can get going in 8mph with the monster door and it's worth getting out on the water. I'm now wishing someone would prototype some 20m+ strutless or 1 strut kites for even light...

Re: Someone need to invent LE air pressure monitor cap

That would be a nice option BUT the car valve caps that show pressure with the color gauge have a tendency to leak air. They're also not very accurate; no cheap gauges are. It would also introduce more points of failure, especially if it was designed to blow off air on impact.

Re: WTF

Most of my sessions windsurfing and kitesurfing end up being by myself. I carry a PLB (personal locator beacon) with me when I windsurf, it's in the Dakine bag on my harness. I now use the ACR ResQLink PLB. It's a one time fee for the device and you register with the NOAA. I used to have the SPOT Co...

Re: Just not feeling the strapped surfboard thing - advice..

Is the Sports Gear Solutions rotating strap available for sale anywhere online? Their website looks to be down and everything I can find about it is from 2010.

+1 on NOT getting a reply through their website "Contact" form.

And yet I still picked up the Airush Lithium Zero.

Re: 2014 Liquid Force NRG

Not to get off topic but seeing the weight of the 16m NRG made me go weigh my 2012 Switchblade 16m; it's 10.10 lbs or 4.58kg. I can barely get it up in the air at 6knt. I thought the NRG was lighter.

If you have a fan, put it next to the wetsuit so it blows the air into it and it works just as well. ...
