North Rebel 2010 rigging q for Dan @ North maybe....

Rigging my new 2011 rebels (12m + 9m), I notice that although the front 2 and 5th lines are all the same length from the 'Y' to the kite, the 5th below the "y" down to the bar has quite a lot of slack in it....maybe up to 5cm. Re: North 2010 trust bar whot is the mod on the bar for

It seems its a mod to avoid the possibility of the (slightly) thicker part of the 5th where it joins the metal ring getting jammed by sand or debris as the IronHeart red trigger releases the 5th when you bail out. Check out the mod video on the north site http://www.northkites.com/public/content/pic...

Rebel 2010 line length options; advice please

G'day from New Zealand

Line lengths with bar are offered at 20m and 25m...

Could someone please offer some comment on the pro/con of the different line lengths and what they recommend/find works best on the 12 and 9m sizes?

Much appreciated........ :D :D

Re: Made from Recycled Pet fibers... say whut?

pet is the generic name for polyester that's been around since it was invented (the textile industry has a bunch of generic acronyms for fibre types (that vary a bit between Eu and US) for example PA in Eu can equal polyacrylic or acrylic but in Japan = Nylon 6!) Go figger VHS vs Beta all over again...

You don't need booties in the lagoon; you might on the coral-rubble shoreline of the 'main' island at Akitua though..... Out in the la...
